Reusable Scrubber Crochet Pattern

This reusable scourer can be made quickly and easily using up scraps of yarn. This is part 3 of my Crochet for the Planet series. For extra green points, use up scraps of yarn and make a colourful sponge. I would recommend using a yarn that is washable at high temperatures so it can be washed and used over and over again unlike a single use plastic sponge. It can be made as a first project, would make a great gift for an eco conscious friend, or could be made to sell.

You will need
Yarn needle
2.5 mm crochet hook
Double knitting (DK) yarn in fibre and colour of your choice

Difficulty- Easy

Pattern
Chain 41
Row 1) Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook, single crochet in each stitch
Row 2-15) Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch. Do not fasten off.
Edging
Fold in half and slip stitch through both layers, working around the folded material to create a rectangle. Fasten off and weave in ends
